About Theresa

Theresa Baker is the founder of Baker Insurance Group.

She began her insurance agency career in 1989. After obtaining her degree in History from University of Nevada Reno, she realized that a career in helping with insurance decisions was the best one for her, and not working in a historical society museum.

She believes in constant education. Whether this be in insurance, public speaking, or how the pioneers came from the east to the west. (Ask her about walking in the remaining wagon ruts of the early pioneers in NV or rubbing Basque drawings off aspen trees in the Sierra NV Mountains).

About Joni

As an insurance agent at Baker Insurance Group since June 2020, Joni Tomal is the account executive for employer medical plan clients. She obtained her insurance license in 2013 to work with clients at a national firm specializing in employee benefits. Prior to this, she managed client relationships at several leading financial services firms.

Joni grew up in Tacoma and enjoys reading (mostly historical fiction), decorating (a bit of pink in every room), snuggling with her dachshund Lily, and dreaming of her next vacation to Paris.

About Rachel

For over a decade, Rachel has provided her clients with the same personable and genuine energy that she gives her family, friends, and community, which matters in insurance. For 13 years, she worked as a broker at a family-owned insurance company and knows the importance of treating clients with warmth, clarity, and compassion. She loves nothing more than meeting new people and is excited to connect.

In her free time, Rachel is the Board President of Brigid Collins Family Support Center, which she’s been a supporter of for many years. She grew up in Bellingham, Washington and enjoys baking, writing, and sharing snacks with her dog Sia.

I called Michelle and told her that I had to go to Overlake in Bellevue. She explained what plans I needed that would allow me to use that hospital. I love that they know which plans work with which places I want to go.
